Meet Our Guides
Our experienced guides have a range of backgrounds, and come with knowledge both inherited through generations and learned through hundreds of hours of study and research. Although the tours are highly educational, the atmosphere is very relaxed. You would never know learning could be so much fun. If you don’t believe it, just read some of the comments from our guests.
Jessica – Guide & Owner
Even though I grew up in the middle of a corn field outside of Indianapolis (go Colts!), my mom said she knew from the first time I said the word ‘Florida’ that I would end up here. I have always had a strong passion for nature, wildlife, and the ocean. I followed my heart and graduated from the Florida Institute of Technology with a degree in Oceanography, and focused on environmental regulations and water quality. I was fortunate to be able to do all of my research and field work right here in the Indian River Lagoon. Now, as an environmental scientist, I work to protect our precious lagoon, wildlife, and water resources. I love this area and the creatures that call it home, and I look forward to being able to share my knowledge and expertise with you.

His time in the Thousand Islands began when he was eight years old, hunting and fishing with his father and family. Mickey has 40 years experience as a waterman on the east coast. Kayaking, surfing and fishing are not pasttimes…but life!
